Abstract:
The results of research on the when, where, and why of fawn mortality in the North Kings Deer Herd is discussed. The "Late Gestation Nutrition Stress" hypothesis is presented as a possible explanation for early fawn loss. Other factors influencing fawn mortality are mentioned, and future direction of the study is outlined.
